Our Ministry
VRBC Children’s Ministry (VR Kids) exists to help kids grow in faith, build great friendships, and develop a servant’s heart! Serving approximately 80 children, VR Kids intentionally creates a safe environment for children from 8 weeks through 5th grade to experience age-appropriate, fun, creative, and relevant Bible teaching. We are passionate about introducing Jesus to every child, and our goal is to help each one build a life-long relationship with him. The Job
The Children’s Ministry Associate reports to the Children’s Pastor and invests in the lives of children, encouraging them to grow in their faith, build great friendships, and develop a servant’s heart. This role partners with the Children’s Pastor and volunteer leaders to help lead children toward becoming disciples of Jesus Christ, foster a fun and safe environment for learning, support and equip parents to keep faith conversations going at home, and motivate children to live out biblical lessons in their daily lives while sharing their faith with others.

Have a heart for children and a passion to minister to them.

Have a plan to pursue church ministry long-term.

Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a bachelor’s or master’s degree.

Must be willing to commit to and attend Valley Ranch Baptist Church (VRBC).

Must be willing to teach and lead in accordance with VRBC’s beliefs.
What the role entails:

Work alongside the Children’s Pastor to plan and achieve weekly, monthly, and yearly children’s ministry goals.

Help plan, lead, and attend children’s ministry weekly gatherings and major children’s ministry special events.

Assist the Children’s Pastor as a pastoral contact for children and their families.

Assist the Children’s Pastor with social media presence, website, and audio/visual needs.

Help to create promotional content for VRKids events.
