ESL - English for Speakers of Other Languages​

During the school year, September to May, VRBC offers beginner, intermediate, and advanced English classes for adult speakers of other languages on Monday and Wednesday mornings at 9:30 am. 

 

Classes and childcare (for children through age 3) are FREE and require pre-registration as these have classroom-size limitations. Textbook cost is about $40.  If you have questions or would like information about the current school year, please send an email to esl@vrbc.net.

 

Registration for the 2025–2026 school year will take place in person at VRBC on Tuesday, September 2 at 9:30 AM. Classes begin on Monday, September 15, 2025. Registration for the fall semester will close September 29th.

ESL classes are a wonderful way to build bridges with those who are diverse and disconnected in our community. This is a great opportunity to invite your friends, neighbors, and others you have met who could benefit from English classes. Classes can develop a cutoff for attending, so invite them soon! Printed cards are available for pickup in the church office so that you can use them to invite people to attend.
