We had another great day at VBS! Today we learned that when we feel lonely, left out, or cast aside, we don’t need to worry. We can trust in God’s rock-solid love.

TOMORROW IS WATER DAY!

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL KIDS should wear their swimsuits under their clothes, water shoes or flip-flops, and bring a towel, because they will be playing on water slides.

PRESCHOOLERS should come dressed in clothes that can get wet, and they won't need a towel or a change of clothes. Activities will include water tables, spray bottles, splash balls, and bubbles.

DAILY OFFERINGS CHALLENGE

Yellow crew is in the lead! Each day, kids can bring an offering to support Tom Laundry Elementary. Donations will help provide snack kits and meet other school needs. The crew that gives the most will win a special prize on the final day!

DAY 2

Day2 Clawdia (1).png

We had a great first day of VBS, and the kids had a blast! Today we learned that we all have questions, and that’s okay! But when we do, our faith doesn’t have to be shaky. We can stand firmly on what we know is true: "When we wonder, we can trust Jesus!”.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

JUNE 9 - 12 | 9 AM - NOON

WALK-IN SPOTS will be available on Monday, June 9, at 8:30 am. First come, first served.

For safety reasons, WE DO NOT ACCEPT WALK-IN VOLUNTEERS AT VBS, including adult and student volunteers (grades 6-12). All volunteers must go through a screening process and training prior to VBS week.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome to VBS!

Our theme for this year is "True North — Finding your way in a world gone wild.” At True North VBS, we will point kids to Jesus, a faithful friend we can always trust.

Who can attend VBS?

Vacation Bible School is a free program for preschoolers (3 years old by 12/9/2024 and potty trained) through 5th grade.

Volunteer Opportunities & Childcare

VBS offers many opportunities for volunteers to serve. If you'd like to help out but have children younger than 3 years old, childcare will be provided. Attention! It is required for all adult volunteers to go through a screening process.

Students in Middle School and High School:

VBS offers the opportunity for students to volunteer as Crew Leaders, volunteers responsible for leading a small crew of 8 children. Students must complete a volunteer application, provide at least two references, and attend mandatory training a few weeks prior to the VBS week.

BE ON TIME!

The program starts at 9 am. An adult must accompany children during check-in. Children will receive their name tags there, and the adult will receive a safety ticket. Once students are checked in, the adult must walk the children to the worship center and drop them off in their reserved area with their crew leader.

DISCIPLINE POLICY

Please encourage your children to be good team players by respecting their leaders, following the rules, and being good friends. We recognize that children will be children and that learning about and serving the Lord often includes fun! However, if a child persists in being unruly, our VBS leadership team will contact their parents.

SAFETY TICKET

Doors will open for entrance at 11:45 am. Parents or guardians must present the safety ticket (handed out during check-in) for each child they pick up. Please take a picture of the safety ticket and share it with whoever is coming to pick your kids up. An ID will be required if a safety tag is not presented during pick-up.

PRESCHOOLERS ATTENDING VBS

For children attending our Preschool VBS, they only need to bring a smile! Please leave toys, snacks, and water bottles at home, as they are at risk for getting lost during rotations. We will provide water and snacks each day.

On Wednesday, preschool children will have light water play during their playground rotation. They will not need to bring a towel or extra change of clothes, but please send them in clothes that are allowed to get a little wet.

DONATIONS/COMMUNITY SCHOOL SUPPORT

Each day, during our VBS opening session, we’ll collect offerings to support Tom Landry Elementary School. All donations will be used to buy snacks for children to have during their school hour and/or after-school programs. This is a great opportunity to teach our kids to serve others.

LIMITED WALK-IN

SPOTS AVAILABLE

VBS online registrations are closed. However, we have a few walk-in spots available for kinder through 5th-grade children. Just come early on the first day of VBS to save your spot.

CELL PHONE POLICY

Cellphone use is not allowed during VBS. Please remind your child to leave all electronic devices at home. Parents can contact the church office if they have questions.

SWITCHING CREWS

We are not accepting any requests for crew placement at this time. Crews are automatically formed by the computer, taking into account a balanced number of participants' ages, grades, and genders.

On the first day of VBS, if your child, for some reason, needs to switch crews, please go to the registration room to open a request to switch crews there. We understand that children want to be with their friends, but VBS week is a great opportunity for them to make new friends.

VBS CDs

VBS music CDs will be sold for $10 at the check-in desk. Limited stock!

VBS VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers check-in begins at 8:15 am. Wear your VBS t-shirt and name tag every day. Children and siblings of volunteers can check in early.
